Qntal: V-Silver Swan


Qntal en una banda de "electro-medieval" formada en 1991 por Michael Popp, Ernst Horn, y más tarde por la vocalista Syrah (Sigrid Hausen). Tiene sus raices en Estampie, una banda de género similar pero estilo diferente; Michael Popp y Syrah son los miembros principales. Horn dejó el grupo en 1999, para concetrarse en su otra banda, Deine Lakaien. Más tarde formó Helium Vola en 2001. Philipp Groth se unió entonces a Qntal.

Las letras del grupo se basan, principalmente, de fuentes históricas. En sus primeros tres álbumes las letras, en su parte principal, en latín, alemán medieval y algunas otras lenguas europeas. En Qntal IV la banda añadió algunas canciones en inglés.

"Qntal" es una palabra inventada que apareció en uno de los sueños de Syrah.

"V-Silver Swan" es el mas nuevo lanzamiento de QNTAL que llegara a las tiendas de discos desde el 28 de Agosto por medio de E-Wave. Ademas de la edición regular, la banda, integrada por Michael Popp, Syrah y Philipp Groth, lanzará una version limitada. Esta edicion especial viene en un digipak A5 (como de DVD) con un booklet extendido y dos bandejas que incluye una el álbum y la otra un CD extra con remixes, temas inéditos y multimedia.

Asseptic Room: Morbid Visions


Es posible que hasta la fecha, el nombre de Asseptic Room les sea desconocido a la mayoría, sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta que detrás de este proyecto se encuentra Carlos (Dj Volteretto) componente del grupo madrileño Dioxyde, seguro que en tu cabeza se vá formando una idea más concreta del tipo de música que estamos tratando.

Lo primero que se me vino a la cabeza al conocer el proyecto fué una pregunta lógica... ¿tendrá algo que ver el sonido Asseptic con el sonido Dioxyde?. Pues rotundamente, si. Desde el primer momento notamos que en los sonidos, los samplers y sobre todo en las bases rítmicas está la mano de Carlos, dejando patente su importancia en el sonido final de Dioxyde.

Pero no nos engañemos, Asseptic Room no es una simple continuación en solitario de Dioxyde. A todas luces, Asseptic Room en un proyecto más duro, más oscuro y más industrial, que queda patente en esta maqueta "Morbid Visions" de la que hay que tener en cuenta que no es el sonido final de lo que será su primer álbum, ya que en estos momentos, y puedo dar fé de ello, los temas están siendo cuidados, mimados y mejorados considerablemente.

Seis temas se incluyen en esta interesante y más que prometedora maqueta, con una amplia gama de sonidos que ván desde la electrónica oscura de la tenebrosa intro "Zombie Patient Control", el electro industrial al más estilo Feindflug del tema "Intruder" sin olvidarse de las pistas de baile con el increíble tema (para mí el mejor) "Gates of Death", con un sonido bastante cercano a Suicide Commando, con unas bases que invitan a levatarte del asiento y ponerte a bailar, con una melodía de lo más pegadiza bien arropada por una agresiva y potente voz y una inteligente manera de usar los samplers.

This is Kelis' second single from her upcoming album, Kelis Was Here. The song was from PJ Butta, so it isn't CD quality, but it's pretty good. This song is hot! Dissection - Reinkaos



"The closest thing to a highlight on this album is the short song 'Xeper-I-Set', which was made available for download well before the disc's release. It's the fastest and most energetic song on this album... which is really quite sad, because it's still pretty drab by extreme metal standards. The most lamentable thing about all of this was that when 'Xeper-I-Set' and 'Starless Aeon' were first offered for download, the optimistic consensus was that these teasers represented the weaker points on the album, and that the remainder would be far better, and closer to the classic Dissection sound... when in fact, these two songs are probably the best on Reinkaos. This isn't just a letdown - it's an absolute embarrassment."
